Dear Friends of The Teacher's Orchard,

Before you read over The Teacher's Orchard Return Policy, please understand that while we do our best to satisfy and meet the needs of all of our customers, we are a business and we have to turn a profit in order to stay in business. 

Since we opened our doors in July 2005, we have had countless customers purchase materials, take the materials home for a period of 30 days or more, then decide that they don't like the materials or can't use the materials.  Upon which, they return the materials to The Teacher's Orchard for a refund. 

Please keep in mind that The Teacher's Orchard does not run a lending library for curriculum.  When you come into our store to purchase curriculum, you may take as long as you need to study the curriculum before you purchase it.  Please take the time to be sure of what you are purchasing before you make the purchase.   

With that in mind, please read over our return policies very carefully before you attempt to return any materials to The Teacher's Orchard.

1.  We will not take returns if you do not have a receipt.  (Please do not take advantage of our kindness here at The Teacher's Orchard by bringing the item into the store and asking if we will make an exception in your case.)        

2.  Returns can only be made within 30 days of purchase.

      a.  A full refund will be given for curriculum/textbooks if you return them within 15 days in the same condition as the material was when it left the store.

       b.  If you return any item after 15 days, we can only give you store credit.

       c. NO RETURNS AFTER 30 DAYS!  Even if you bring the item/book in one day after the 30 day time period, we cannot take it as a return.  You may, however, trade the item/items in and receive an appropriate savings voucher. 

3.  Materials must be in the same condition as when they left the store.  If materials left the store in packaging, they must return in the same packaging.  If there is any writing in or on the material whatsoever, the material is considered used and non-returnable.

4.  No returns on used material. (No Exceptions!)  So look over the used item that you are considering buying very carefully.  Even though we try to screen every used item that comes into our store, there are times when we may overlook something. 

5.  No returns on reading books/whole books. 

6.  No returns on consumable workbooks. (No Exceptions, even if the consumable workbook is in mint condition!)  You may, however, trade the workbook in for an appropriate savings voucher.

6.  Please do not bring in a book or item from another store and try to exchange it at The Teacher's Orchard.  You may, however, trade it in for an appropriate savings voucher.   

7.  On items that are defective (from the manufacturer), in most cases, you must deal directly with the manufacturer about returning the item.  You may, however, bring the item into The Teacher's Orchard so that we can determine the best course of action to take.
